New Warrior Teams Announced

Posted: [02/12/10 by Karen DeBarto]

The Supercharged Warriors will celebrate their 17th year as a Blown Injected Show Group during the 2010 Season Tour. Joining the ranks of the elite are Henry Moose Danes and Vinnie DiRose.
Danes, from Eastlake, OH will be driving a 23 T Altered, Get Blown, equipped with a 377 small block Chevy with 14:71 Blower. Moose raced with the Warriors Labor Day weekend 2009 at Skyview and Beaver Springs. This to be his audition run for a spot on the Warrior Roster for the 2010 Tour. Crew Chief Frank Mazi had the car finely tuned with his 22 years of experience and with only 3 years behind the wheel Moose was able to capture the win in the final against Veteran Madman Mike Himes at Skyview Drags. Moose also won the Gasser Nationals 2 at TRP. He has 9 years of engine building experience but knows he has more to learn from a Great Teacher, Frank Mazi. Moose also has the help and support of his parents Hank and Pat Danes. Rounding off the crew are Brad, Jen, Vince and Nick.
Vinnie DiRose has been bracket racing with his brother since he was 16 years old. In 1985 they built for his first car a 1969 Malibu station wagon with a 396 BBC and ran 13.90's @ Esta in Syracuse NY. He then built a 482 BBC and put the car in the 12.0's for the next season till the motor spun a main. He then ran a 1967 Camaro with a 396 in pro and later super pro in the points series at Esta. Like many racers he took a break in 1993 to marry and raise a family. Between 1984 and 1993 he had close to 8 cars that they ran from Island Drag way to Esta Safety Park. Vince never stopped thinking about running a blown alky car and in 2000 he bought a 57 Chevy from a local guy and decided to fulfill his dream. Last year, after 17 years of not drag racing he got his NHRA Competition license and ran numerous events from Canada to Englishtown NJ. At the Shakedown Race he qualified 18 out of 35 of the fastest door cars on the east coast running low 8's at 170 mph. Vinnies, Black Ice, a 57 Chevy 150 2 door sedan weights 3500 lbs, it is equipped with a 511 BBC, Enderle 10:71 HHR, and Rossler Turbo 400. Vinnies Crew Chief is his brother Tony DiRose. Tony has earned Sportsman of the Year at his local track, Skyview Drags, and has finished in the top half of the field in pro since the track opened. Also, Vinnies wife Patricia and sons Dominick and Nicholas will be crewing on the 57 Chevy this season, making this a family endeavor. The Black Ice Team comes to us from Windsor, NY.
The Supercharged Warriors would like to welcome all of the Teams Members of Get Blown and Black Ice to our Family.
