IHRA Thunder Jam in West Virginia

The Supercharged Warriors 2010 tour stopped at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park for the IHRA Thunder Jam. Sharing the excitement with the wheel standing Cool Bus of Ken Nelson and a unique wheel standing golf cart named Slightly Disturbed. The jet semi truck Extreme Machine was in attendance to round out the show.
The warriors started the show with their Mickey Thompson Tire Burnout Challenge. The fans help by voting for the longest, smokey burnout. First up were Bill Bonanti versus Jerry Bascombe. They filled the track with smoke and noise trying for a chance at the burnout award. Jerry took the win with a 4.91 to Bonanti's too fast 4.78. Vinny DiRose and Joe Veshusio were up next trying their best to win the coveted Mickey Thompson award. Vinny in Black Ice lit the win light with a 5.35. Moose Danes and Bob Lacak in the Wicked Vette pulled to the starting line next. Danes took the win from the veteran Lascak with a 4.92. The last two warriors Jared Yuhasz and Mike Himes smoked up the track next, with the Mad Man Mike Himes living up to his name again taking the Mickey Thompson Burnout Award.Jared in the Hell Raiser however won the round with a 4.93.
The elimination round decides the Enderle Quick Reaction Award. The driver with the best reaction time and winning his round will receive this award. Bill Bonanti in Thunderstruck and Mike Himes in Dangerzone started out the elimination round with Wild Bill winning with a 6.94. Next up were Yuhasz in the altered Hell Raiser against Bob Lascak in the Wicked Vette. Jared took the round win in a close race with a 4.87 and a .0659 light. Congratulations to Jared for his Enderle Quick Reaction Time award.
Moose Danes and Vinny DiRose in Black Ice were up next. Moose in the Get Blown altered won the round with a 4.85 right on the dial. Joe Veschusio in Thriller and Jerry Bascombe in Flash came to the line with Thriller taking the win with a 5.16.
Final round paired the two altereds of the young guns Moose Danes in Get Blown and Jared Yuhasz in Hell Raiser. Jared took the win with a 4.89. Thank you to all the fans that made the trek over in to the pits in the heat to meet their favorite drivers and talk a little racing everyone enjoyed the open pit time.
The warriors would like to express their thanks to the Kanawha Valley Motorsports Parks track personel for the great track conditions, despite the heat. Also a big thank you to IHRA for another successful Thunder Jam.
