IHRA Thunder Jam at Skyview Drags

The Supercharged Warriors took their 2009 Tour to Skyview Drags July 18, 2009 for the IHRA Thunder Jam. Along side Show Greats, Bob Motz Jet Truck, Wheelstanding Cool Bus and Firetruck and the Jet Quad the fans were set for a thrilling show.
The Warriors started the Show with the Mickey Thompson Tires Burnout Contest.
The Spectators and Fans voted for the best long smokey burnout. The Warriors filled the track with smoke and noise during the first round of competition, each driver wanting to take home the M/T certificate. First out, Jerry Bascombes Chevy Beretta, FLASH vs. Jared Yuhasz Hellraiser. Jared took the win with a 4.90 at 143 MPH. Mean Gene Vogt took on the Warrior Boss, Bob Lascak in his Wicked Vette. Bob took the win with a 4.92 at 142 MPH. Joe Veschusios Thriller and Racin Jason Icenhowers Dixie Hustler took to the track next with wild smokey burnouts. After the smoke cleared Jason took the win with a 4.83 at 145 MPH and Joe took the Burnout win. Madman Mike Himes took the win from Wild Bill Bonantis Thunderstruck. Bill secured the #1 qualifying spot with a 4.88 at 137 MPH. Ending the first round of competition, Jeff Steeres Dragon Slayer vs. Jeromy Vogts Untouchable. Steere took the win with a 5.72 at 81 MPH.
Thriller and Dangerzone started the second round of competition with Madman Mike Himes taking the win with a 4.96 at 143 MPH. FLASH took on the Dixie Hustler and Racin Jason Icenhower took the win with a 4.83 at 142 MPH. Steere broke on the line and Lascaks Wicked Vette took the win with a 4.87 at 143 MPH. Jeromy Vogt went up against 2008 Points Champion Jared Yuhasz. Jared took the win with a 5.13 at 140 MPH. Wild Bill Bonantis Thunderstruck ran a 4.92 at 142 MPH on a bi run pairing him against the Wicked Vette of Bob Lascak in the final. Second round of competition is the Enderle Fuel Injection Reaction Time Challenge. Dangerzone, Mike Himes took home the $200 with a R/T of .470.
Supercharged Warrior final started with some noise and smoke put out by Thunderstruck and Wicked Vette. Bill and Bob were off the line together with R/T of 5.81 to 5.65. Side by side racing action down the 1/8th mile had spectators on the end of their seats as both drivers rallied for the win. Lascak took the win with a 4.85 at 144 MPH to Bills 4.89 at 138 MPH.
Congradulations Bob Lascak on your win.
The show ended with Bob Motz again setting the tower and vehicles on fire.
Track owner had a grand fireworks display for the spectators.
