Supercharged Warriors to Celebrate 15th Season

The Supercharged Warriors, drag racings premiere Blown Injected Show Group, is gearing up for the 2008 Tour. This season celebrates the 15th year the Warriors take to the tracks for spectacular shows featuring crowd pleasing wild smokey burnouts, sponsored again this year by Mickey Thompson Tires, stellar reaction times, sponsored by Enderle Fuel Injections, and 7 second quarter mile passes at 200 MPH. New faces will be seen in the Warrior pits with two new teams joining the ranks of the elite. Mean Gene Vogt and wife Janet from Erie, Pa will be joining the group with their 23 T Altered, NASTY, with a 509 BBC, 14:71 blower. Tim Drohn will crew the car this year as it makes it debut with the Supercharged Warriors. Gene brings with him 30+ years of drag racing experience and is excited about his rookie year with the Warriors. Tom Richey and wife Robin will also join the ranks with his street legal, all steel, 1985 Astro Van. BLASTRO is equipped with a 526 cu. in. 2200 horsepower motor, 14:71 high helix retro blower with custom intake. Dan Riggs will crew the car. These show worthy cars have to be seen to be appreciated. Along with the new faces this year you can expect that the seasoned members of the group are gearing up for the new competition. Mike Himes with his DangerZone Camaro, Bob Lascaks Wicked Vette, Jason Icenhowers Dixie Hustler Corvette, Jerry Bascombes Sonic Boom Camaro, Bill Bonantis Thunderstruck Camaro, Jared Yuhasz Hellraiser and Joe Veschusios Thriller. Jessie Harris was guest speaker at the Annual Supercharged Warriors Awards Banquet held in Feb. She spoke of her accomplishments since starting her career as the Track Coordinator of the Supercharged Warriors. Look for all of the drivers in the Warriors pits for autographs, posters. The crews will be flinging frisbees and t-shirts into the spectator stands at each Warrrior show.
