Smokin at Lancaster Raceway Park

Lancaster Raceway Park gave the Supercharged Warriors a warm welcome for Friday evening racing. It was a hot, humid evening and the Warriors were ready for some side by side racing. As is the Warrior custom, first round of racing is the Mickey Thompson Burnout Challenge. All the teams try for the longest and smokiest burnout, then the fans cheer for their favorite deciding the winner. Bill Bonanti and Bob Lascak started the smoke fest with long burnouts to the delight of the crowd. Bob Lascak in his Wicked Vette took the round win running a 4.96.Second up to the line were Joe Veschusio in the Thriller against Vinny DiRose in Black Ice. Both drivers did great burnouts and pulled to the stating line for the race. Joe Veschusio won the race with a 5.09. Next to race were the two altereds Hell Raiser driven by Jared Yuhasz and Get Blown driven by Moose Danes. When the smoke cleaed and race was over Jared Yuhasz came out the winner running a 5.12. Joe Veschusio in the Thriller was voted the Mickey Thompson Burnout Challenge winner. Second round is the Enderlee Quick Reaction Time Award. Jared Yuhasz paired up against Joe Veschusio. Yuhasz took the win with a 4.93 to Veschusio's 5.03. Bill Bonanti in the Thunderstruck camaro and Vinny DiRose in the Black Ice 57 Chevy were pitted against one another. Thunderstruck won the round with a 4.93.Moose Danes and Bob Lascak were next to the starting line. In a very close race Bob in Wicked won the race on the tree. Bob ran a 4.92 to Moose's 4.91. Lascak had a great light but, not great enough Jared Yuhasz won the Enderlee Quick Reaction Time Award. For the final round all the Warriors decided to race. Moose Danes in Get Blown came to the line against Joe Veschusio. Danes took the win from the veteran Veschusion running a 4.90. Next in line were Vinny DiRose and Jared Yuhasz. Jared won the round with a 4.88. The last pair were running the final round for bragging rights of winner of the race. Bill Bonanti in Thunderstruck was paired against Bob Lascak in Wicked. Congratulations to Bob for winning the race with a 4.89.
